UNAVETS GROUP ANNOUNCES THE ACQUISITION OF ITS 100th AND 101st VETERINARY CENTER

UNAVETS’ rapid expansion continues with acquisition of Quirino Veterinary Clinics.
UNAVETS, one of Iberia’s fastest growing veterinary groups, announces its 100th and 101st veterinary centers, with the acquisition of the Quirino Veterinary Clinics.

The practice has two centers with one located in Cádiz, Spain, and the other in the UK territory of Gibraltar. In total the two facilities employ 15 members of staff, including 8 vets, 3 nurses and 4 support staff.

Both facilities offer comprehensive medical services for pets, with the Gibraltar location also offering localized 24-hour emergency services. Specialties include oncology, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, surgery, traumatology, ophthalmology and internal medicine, among others.

Sergio Quirino, Quirino Veterinary Clinic Director, commented: “Today, the management of our veterinary clinic and staff is almost as important as the medical care we provide.
As your company grows, you often face numerous challenges, so you must surround yourself with experienced professionals who will give you the support you need. In UNAVETS, we have found a dedicated partner who will do just that.”

Ignacio Gonzalez, Head of M&A at UNAVETS, commented: “People trust UNAVETS and that makes us proud. We’re focused on continuing our growth story so that we can continue to support and work alongside some of the best veterinary practices in Spain and Portugal.”

In addition to having surpassed the milestone of 100 practices, this latest news means UNAVETS now covers the entire Iberian Peninsula, including Gibraltar. The Group employs over 1,000 veterinary professionals and clinical support team members and is consolidating its position as one of the leading veterinary healthcare groups in Spain and Portugal.

Junko Sheehan, CEO and Founder of UNAVETS, commented: “We’re extremely happy that Sergio and his team at Quirino have decided to join the UNAVETS family. The two practices in Cadiz and Gibraltar share our values and commitment to providing the highest quality of care and service to pets and pet parents. This is a hugely exciting and busy time for UNAVETS as we continue our ambitious expansion plans across Iberia.”
