Bodión-Zafra Veterinary Hospital joins the UNAVETS group

The UNAVETS group continues its expansion throughout Spain with the acquisition of Bodión veterinary hospital in Zafra, Badajoz. It is the only private hospital that provides 24-hour emergency service in Extremadura and the only one with a CAT scan service. This hospital is the eleventh centre that has joined the group.

The Bodión hospital is an asset in Extremadura, especially for its traumatology care, which is largely thanks to its director, Javier González. The team is made up of 10 veterinarians and assistants, who offer medical services such as consultation, surgery, specialities and rehabilitation services.

Some noteworthy equipment that the hospital has to offer include; a phacoemulsifier, a surgical arch, an endoscope, digital radiology, a complete hematology and biochemistry laboratory, a CO2 laser and a rehabilitation pool. The hospital is also a regular collaborator with wildlife associations with which it performs advanced surgical procedures.

Miguel Casado, Head of Business Development, comments: "It's so satisfying to see such a dynamic hospital with such a deeply close-knit team".
