UNAVETS is pleased to announce the addition of Donostia Veterinary Hospital, a 24-hour reference hospital in San Sebastián with two centers in the area, in Donostia and Astigarraga.
Donostia Veterinary Hospital, which evolved from two previous centers that opened more than 25 years ago, is staffed by a team of 23 professionals led by Javier Miner, Diego San Sebastián, and Aitor Llamas as hospital directors. The addition of Donostia Veterinary Hospital to UNAVETS strengthens the group's presence in the Gipuzkoa region and throughout the Basque Country, where there are already 15 UNAVETS veterinary practices.
The center offers a wide range of services and specialties, including surgery, hospitalization, emergency care, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, dermatology, cardiology, neurology, oncology, and rehabilitation. The hospital also has a 24-hour on-site emergency service to meet the needs of pets in emergency cases.
In addition, facilities and equipment for diagnosis and treatment include digital radiology, its own blood bank and complete laboratory, operating rooms, bipolar electrocautery, ultrasound, and CT. The hospital receives cases referred from endoscopy, traumatology, and neurology.
“We are delighted to welcome Donostia Veterinary Hospital to the Unavets family,” shared Enrique Cardona, COO and Country Manager for Spain at UNAVETS. “The hospital has a history of excellence in veterinary care and we share its commitment to the well-being of pets and their families.”
Aitor Llamas, clinical director, commented: “Joining UNAVETS is a great challenge that we hope to be able to carry out as a team. At the individual level, the possibility of growing in an environment where professionalism is prioritized and with specialization perspectives is a great incentive for work. We start this new stage with enthusiasm and motivation to keep growing!”
