ONEVET (UNAVETS Group) acquires Leçavet and Freixiero Veterinary Clinics

ONEVET/UNAVETS has recently acquired two clinics in the greater Porto region, the Clínica Veterinária Leçavet and the Consultório Veterinário do Freixieiro. Veterinarian Rachel Marques, with 20 years of experience, leads the two practices, which are comprised of a team of 4 vets and 4 assistants.

These two units bring to the ONEVET platform a group of dedicated and competent professionals with a strong sense of teamwork, which will allow for the development of new projects, new skills, and promote synergies in partnership with the clinics and hospitals of ONEVET.

Guilherme Assis, ONEVET's Executive Director and Head of Portugal, says, "The integration of Clínica Veterinária Leçavet and Consultório Veterinário do Freixieiro will continue to strengthen ONEVET cluster in the Northern region of the country, by further increasing collaborative work with our hospitals and developing new and more clinical valences, providing an even wider range of services to its customers.”

Rachel Marques, founder of Clínica Veterinária Leçavet and Consultório Veterinário do Freixieiro, comments, "In my opinion, I am convinced that the integration in the ONEVET Group will be an asset to the team, we will be able to invest more in the training and welfare of our employees, work in partnership with other teams equally dedicated and focused. I believe that integration into groups of reference, as is the case of ONEVET, is the future of veterinary medicine in Portugal and we will be at the forefront, all for the good of our animals, always seeking the best for them.”

The ONEVET group has also recently launched a training platform called OneAcademy by UNAVETS, which will further reinforce theoretical and clinical training via a mentorship model across specialties and general practice. This has been made possible by the clusters of practices in the same region and the platform looks forward to including Rachel and the team at Leçavet and Freixieiro to the vet family model that has been created over the last several years.
