UNAVETS incorporates veterinary group Bierzoo to its presence in Northern Spain

The Bierzoo veterinary group, with five veterinary centers and a crematorium for pets in the province of León, joins UNAVETS Group, the largest Iberian group of veterinary clinics and hospitals.

Bierzoo, led by Lidia Blanco and Marcos López, is a network of five veterinary clinics founded in 2002 with an important presence in the province of León. The centers, located in the towns of Ponferrada, Cacabelos, Bembibre, Villafranca and Toreno offer a wide health coverage to pets in the region of Bierzoo. The group has the necessary facilities and equipment to meet the needs of its patients, operating rooms, hospitalization, ultrasound, addology, shop and grooming are part of the services available in the different centres. The specialization of Marcos López, its clinical director, in surgery and traumatology guarantees success in more complex interventions.

The five centers are attended by 16 professionals including veterinarians, assistants and groomers with extensive experience and many years of permanence in the group.

The group also has a modern crematorium and end of life center for pets, Simas, designed to comfort and facilitate the most respectful treatment that this sensitive moment requires.

The UNAVETS Group occupies a leading position in the veterinary health market in Iberia (Spain and Portugal), developing in two years a group that offers shared services and development support to its 62 centers. This includes 4 referral/specialist centres, 13 hospitals, and 45 clinics, care offices and crematoria, thus ensuring a diversified and comprehensive service.
