UNAVETS breaks into the Spanish veterinary market.

Backed by the international Marconi group, UNAVETS arrives in Spain intending to acquire veterinary centres to provide them with the marketing, management, training and equipment resources necessary to increase their service excellence and profitability.

Their objectives are to acquire different veterinary centres, providing them with the marketing, management, training and equipment resources necessary to increase their service excellence and profitability. The member centres maintain their image and structure and will be able to focus on quality medicine, delegating the rest of the tasks to the central services.

UNAVETS' structure is made up of professionals with proven experience in the small animal clinic sector:

Manuel Amador, head of Operations with 30 years of experience in large accounts at Pfizer, Zoetis and recently as co-director at VETSIA.

Jaime Díaz, responsible for Marketing and Alliances, has a long career in different positions in Pfizer, Zoetis and recently as a manager in AMVAC.

Miguel Casado, responsible for Platform Development, has extensive experience in the sector at 3M, Royal Canin and Scil.

Introduction to Marconi Capital

Marconi is an integrated private investment management company, with a strong focus on the deployment of M&A platforms. It encompasses investment, asset incubation and development, portfolio management for value enhancement and focuses on operational improvement and repositioning.

Dr Anne Lo: partner, DVM PHD certified veterinarian from Edinburgh University, PhD in pathology from Cambridge University has previously worked with Bain & Co in London, Worldpay and most recently, Horizons Ventures in global venture investment and portfolio management.

Junko lo Sheehan: Managing Partner, has a background in investment banking (Morgan Stanley, UBS, Bear Stearns) and now works as a senior advisor on private equity investments. She has been involved in over $30 billion wortth of equity, debt and M&A transactions. Junko holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of Business.
